Renos Loizou was arguably Cambridge’s best figurative artist and his work was admired widely and he exhibited in the Gardenia restaurant in Rose Crescent which he ran, at the Christopher Hull gallery in London and in Cyprus. He attended Cambridge school of Art and showed a talent that was exceptional. He left me with a dusty cassette tape recording of a studio visit back in the 1990’s where he talks about his life and art work. He was a kind and popular friend to so many people in Cambridge.
