Creating dramatic lightning and fine words from the heart.

In this edition Simon Bertin encounters ….

Award winning Indian poet, journalist and writer Sudeep Sen talks on his life and works and recites some popular works from his two latest anthologies.

We visit the actors of Cambridge University’s The Greek play series at the Arts theatre in  October and find out from the lead actor Dylan Hughes what’s install for us….  expertly shaped by classics academics, cast members and talented director.

Artist Robert Good tells us about his latest installation Tower number two at the Junction and find out why the project is worth hundreds of hours of construction in wood on a large scale to tell a story.

And we drop in Zimbabwean sculptor Euwittt Nayanhongo to hear about new work and what it means in terms of spiritual significance, respect and dignity to Africans as a tradition conveying a frame of reference we can understand and interpret.

Artist Robert Good exhibits his installation Tower No 2 (Watkin’s Folly) will be the second in a series of experimental structures exploring ideas of human endeavour and human hubris. (You can click here for images of Tower No 1a (Seems Like a Good Trajectory So Far) installed at Saturation Point earlier this year.) I have been working on Tower No 2 (Watkin’s Folly) since the start of the year, and it is too big to fully assemble in my studio, so I am very grateful to Matt Burman and Jess Weston-Snee at Cambridge Junction for giving me this opportunity to carry out a trial build of the tower in the J1 project space and document the results.
